World AIDS Day 2009

The United Nations has proclaimed the theme of "I AM" as the campaign slogan of World AIDS Day 2009, reminding us that access for all to HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support is a fundamental human right. Since 1993, the AIDS Service Foundation of Greater Kansas City has provided this access with local action and vision, spreading the message of prevention and assisting those living with HIV/AIDS in Kansas City.

The 2009 World AIDS Day Week of Observance will kickoff with a Patron and Sponsor Party at the home of Kirby McCullough and Dan Auman on Thursday, November 19th. On Monday, November 30th,
St. Luke's Health System, Truman Medical Center and the AIDS Service Foundation will present a free Community Luncheon at the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center, from 11:30 am to 1:15 pm. Then on Tuesday, December 1st, the foundation will hold the World AIDS Day Reception from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the law offices of Husch Blackwell Sanders LLP on the Country Club Plaza.
